STRESS! In this day and age can we even avoid it? Often it is easier to manage it then eliminate it entirely. There is a very special kind of stress that comes when you are the loved one or caretaker for someone who is going through a health crisis or other ordeal. This inevitably brings up stress and powerful emotions that you are forced to deal with.
I created this tapping video for stress a while back before launching Angelic Intercession.
If you are in a situation where you can’t easily tap on all the points. You can put gentle pressure on any of them and simply take a deep breath through your nose and release it through your mouth while holding the point. Also the gamut point on your hand (between the ring finger and pinky finger bones below the knuckles on the top of the hand where I have “even though” tattooed on me) is a great place to either tap or press in public when you want to be more discreet.
When you are dealing with something really intense, often focusing on sensations in your body (like a back ache or a head ache) as opposed to actual emotions can be a good place to start. From there, you will probably find that you will be led to what needs attention next.
Another suggestion is using choices for your set-up affirmation. Instead of simply saying I accept myself, you may find it makes more sense and is easier to say. I choose to accept myself (this situation).
Here is a set-up statement for you.
Even though I am feeling so much stress right now because I am really worried about ______ I am going to be really gentle with myself, I will take a deep breath and let myself relax as much as I can because I choose to accept myself today.
Even though this whole situation is SO stressful, and all my focus is on caring for ______… I choose to take a moment to breathe and let myself relax as much as I can. I breathe in calmness and I exhale stress because I choose to love and accept myself as I am right now.
Even though I feel so tense and worried and it is understandable, who wouldn’t be stressed in a situation like this! I am going to give myself a break and be really kind to myself, because I do choose to love and accept myself through this difficult time.
If you are able you can use a reminder phrase like “all this stress” and tap or put pressure gently on each successive point.
